Currently education students are not required to complete module/s on using, engaging and assessing the efficient and effective use of online platforms and content for daily teaching and/or assessment activities. With the increasing use of technology and online learning as part of everyday classroom instruction and assessment, particularly in a distance education context it is imperative that teachers are entering the workforce with the knowledge and skills to effectively utilise the digital environment.
